We went back to his house, and then his bed, and it was hot, but when I wanted to have sex, he said no! Honestly, it really hurt my feelings, but much much later when I asked him about it, he explained because he didn't see me as a one night stand. He saw me as a possible permanent situation and didn't want to mess it up. And then MUCH later, after we were married, he also added "...and I observed you. You're very aggressive, you'll walk away from something doesn't interest you (true), you're literally a hunter. And being a master strategist myself, I knew that defying you would drive you crazy" (it did). And that's why I never turn my back on him... he's always 9 steps ahead on some very complex strategy on something (BTW, Mr Poindexter is a physicist and once designed top secret weapons in grad school, then he worked at Intel designing computer chips where we met, and later he founded other technology companies. We've founded several together) And once I told an old wise lady this story and she said "ah! The old "YOU chased him, until HE caught you. Very clever husband"😆
